Family Practice Summary

The Outstanding Osteopathic Family Practice Residency Program and Rotating Internship of St. Joseph Medical Center are dynamic educational opportunities. The Family Practice Residency Program is the only residency program at the hospital, thus providing great hands on experience.

Our Family Practice Center is busy, seeing over 100 patients a day and almost half of them are children. Our patient population is diverse, as is the pathology you'll encounter. We have 7 full time faculty members who are dedicated to teaching. Our graduates do well on Boards and many of them have stayed in our community.

Our Family Practice Residency is dedicated to teaching OMT in different venues. We do weekly OMT rounds, rotating through different services here at St. Joseph's hospital. We have many OMT lectures and workshops series with occasional guest speakers. During office hours OMT is a consistent integral part in patient care.
